To update the firmware, format a USB flash drive to FAT32 and save the .x firmware file to it. With the cutter off, insert the drive, then turn the power on while holding both the LEFT and RIGHT arrow keys. Follow the prompts on the control panel to execute the update.
The User's Manual and accompanying software are stored in the instrument's internal memory. Connect the device to a PC via USB while powered off, then turn it on while holding the START/STOP button to access the drive and copy the manual.
