The Canon Sure Shot Owl requires two AA batteries (not included).

1. Open the camera back cover by sliding the latch located on the side of the camera.

3. Pull the film leader across to the film take-up spool, aligning it with the red mark or insertion slot.
4. Close the camera back cover firmly until it latches. The camera will automatically advance the film to the first frame. The frame counter will display '1'.
